Who should I play Cold Hand with?
Friends, acquaintances, or strangers you’re ready to get comfortable with fast.
The game works best when people loosen up, take risks, and don’t take themselves too seriously.
Be open to a little chaos, you’ll be fine…
Where’s the best place to play Cold Hand?
Anywhere people are hanging out and looking for a good time.
Game nights. Trips. Barbecues.
If you’ve got a good group, you’ve got the right place.
Can I submit my own dares ideas?
Yes.
If you’ve got something good, we want it.

We might use it.
No guarantees.
(Some judgment.)
What kind of game is this?
Cold Hand is an easy to learn party card game about strategy, ridiculous dares, and watching your friends embarrass themselves.
You’ll be doing all three.
How many people can play?
3–10 players.
Fewer than 3 gets quiet.
More than 10 gets chaotic.
Both are technically playable.
How long does a game take?
About 10–20 minutes per round.
Longer if people start arguing about the dares.
What makes this game different?
Most card games are about winning.
Cold Hand is about trying to win while everything keeps getting worse.
What is the Dare Die?
It decides what happens next.
When someone hits you with a Dare card, you roll the Dare Die to see which dare you get.
Each side points to a different dare — and none of them are great.
What age group is this for?
21+
Not because it’s inappropriate.
Drinks just tend to show up.
Do I have to drink?
No. You can refuse any dare you’re not comfortable with.
But tbh the dares are really dumb… so drinking helps.
Are the dares inappropriate?
Not really.
They're more awkward than anything else.
The kind of thing that's funny later... and
slightly uncomfortable in the moment.
Can I play this with my family?
I personally wouldn’t…. But if you feel comfortable smooching your cousin’s elbow, go for it.
Is it hard to learn?
No.
If you’ve ever played a card game where you match colors or numbers, you’re already most of the way there.
The rest you’ll figure out when things start going wrong.
What’s the “COLD HAND!” rule?
When you’re down to one card, you have to shout “COLD HAND!”
If you forget, someone will notice.
Immediately.
Is there strategy, or is it just chaos?
There is strategy.
It just doesn't always help.
Is this good for parties?
Yes.
It’s fast, easy to learn, and gets people involved quickly.
Also, no one stays quiet for long.
Do I need to be good at games to enjoy it?
Not at all.
The game has a way of evening things out.
Can we make up our own dares?
Absolutely.
That’s usually when the game starts getting out of hand.
